The service

Core 1000 Words is a free vocabulary practice tool, provided as-is. We try to keep the content accurate, but meanings and examples may contain mistakes. They haven’t yet been reviewed by a native speaker. Don’t rely on the site for translations where accuracy matters.

Your account

• Use a password you don’t use elsewhere and keep it private.
• Give a real email address you control; it’s the only way to recover your account.
• Don’t attempt to access other people’s accounts or data, overload the service, or automate sign-ups.
• You can delete your account at any time in Settings.

Content and licenses

The ranked word list is derived from wordfreq data and is shared under CC BY-SA 4.0. See Sources for details and other licenses.

Availability

We may change or pause features. If we ever shut the service down, we’ll give account holders notice and time to export their progress.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, the service is provided without warranties, and we aren’t liable for losses from using it.
